STUDIO HIVE FIVE started from the idea

of Philip and Robin to create a collaboration

in 2012 to help people in Third World

countries. Philip fell in love with Haiti

and was looking for a way to help.

After humanitarian projects in Peru,

India and Ghana for other NGO’s,

Robin felt there was always missing a

more sustainable way of thinking.

Therefore he wanted to start his own

projects that would start from local

initiative and could be self-sustaining.

While working as an intern in the

architectural office of Philip, they

soon realized that they both had 

the same ideas on supporting Third

World people. Philip already found

some interesting local initiatives in

Haiti, so they decided to start their

first projects there.
