Project Hinche@Haiti
We are investigating the possibility to develop low-cost bamboo building panels.
This forgotten local material has a lot of potential for the Haitian economy.
Now all the building materials are imported. Bamboo has some fantastic properties like :
growing fast, strong and flexible (earthquakes). Soil erosion is a big problem in Haiti,
causing landslides. Planting bamboo strengthens the soil. Bamboo fit's perfect in our
PPP strategy because it benefits the economy, nature and people.
For this research we are looking for people and companies to help us develop these
low cost bamboo building panels.
PROGRESS
