Beauséjour is the most remote place of Leogane, the epicentre of the devastating 

earthquake of 2010. Here "Les Petits Frères de Sainte Thérèse", a local organisation 

helping the poor, have started several initiatives. After 20 years they have built up 

a reliable and respected reputation. We are excited to have them as our partner in 

Haiti to support and start projects. Here we support their initiative that provides 

small loans to families to start their own farming business.

30 families have received a microcredit. We are pleased to announce that after one 

year working 95% of the beneficiaries have paid their intrest and that 12 local 

enterprises were so successful that they could refund their loan. 

So the released amount will provide new microcredits. Also the interest received 

will be invested in the installation of a waterpump in the centre of the community 

in Beauséjour
